We had a case of Macbook Pro with loading bar stuck on loading from our customer here in Adelaide. His Macbook Pro refused to load up into the system after a recent upgrade to the latest operating system.
We ran diagnostic as our initial stage and fault came up immediately. It was the hard drive as we have expected, it was causing slow performance and not loading the Macbook.
We took apart the bottom cover and replaced the hard drive with a similar size one. These Macbooks have standard 2.5″ SATA hard drive connectors.
Once hard drive replaced, it was straight forward to install the new operating system and test the functionality.
The customer had no data to be transferred which helped us finish the repair the same day. And return it back to the customer.
